It's been WAY too long, I know...
How does the time go by so fast? I can't believe it's almost been a whole month since our last post. Yikes! So, so sorry about that! The truth is, I have just been horrible about communicating with anyone these last few months. Don't ask me why, since now I have more time than I ever did before. I really do promise I will try and do better. I figured if I didn't post something soon, Liz would take me off her blog list which would make me so sad...not that I wouldn't deserve it, but she just leaves such great comments and I would miss them so much. :)
Of course, I'm going to start with Adam. He is certainly most of what my life revolves around these days and I love every (yes, every :) minute of it. His most recent breakthrough is walking! As I mentioned in our last post, he's been taking steps for awhile now, but was still crawling when he really wanted to get somewhere. Well, last Saturday he decided that it was time to really give walking a chance. I will be posting some video here pretty soon, but for now I will just post some pics of him on his feet. He is now walking everywhere! It's kind of crazy and I know things will get a bit more interesting from this point on, but I'm kind of glad, because it will hopefully help mommy when our little girl arrives (sorry, we still haven't settled on a name - we're definitely open to suggestions!). It amazes me how parents of multiples do it. And when I think about that, it also causes me to think about single parents and military moms. It really makes me appreciate what they do for their children and it makes me 100 times more thankful for my husband who is absolutely WONDERFUL, by the way! Ok anyway...I'm getting off on a tangent, sorry. But seriously, I just appreciate all that my husband does to help me on a daily basis without ever complaining and with such a great attitude. I love him so much!
Ok, moving on...as I stated above, we have yet to choose a name for our little sweet pea, but I assure you, as soon as we have one nailed down, we will let you all know! So, stay tuned! :) This pregnancy has been absolutely wonderful! I feel so great and it's actually been going by really fast. I can't believe that we are nearing the end. God has been so good! When I look around and see what other couples are going through right now, I realize that it's so easy for me to say that. I have been so encouraged by so many of you, many who I don't even know personally, especially when I see your unwavering faith in our great God in the midst of such heartache and turmoil.
Well, I guess I'd just better post some pics now, or I could probably go on and on about various things and bore you all to tears. :) Again, sorry that it's taken so long to post this! I'll really try and be better.
I love this one! He loves to hide under his blanket and play peek-a-boo. This pose is just too hilarious!

One of his favorite things is when we ask him "How big is Adam?" This is always his response. He gets so excited.

I look horrible in both these pictures, but I thought some of you may want to see what the belly looks like at 33 weeks. :) Please excuse the rolled out of bed look! I should've taken these from the neck down...

Some favorite Adam pics...
Here are a few pictures that were taken recently. Our little boy is growing so fast! He is such a delight and we simply could not ask for a sweeter son. He's still taking his time with walking. For over a month now, he has been standing on his own, practicing his balance, and then in the last few weeks, he has been taking a few steps without holding onto anything. But whenever he really wants to get somewhere, he falls right to his hands and knees and takes off. He's a really fast crawler, so I think that keeps him from really wanting to work at walking. It's ok though...we're really not rushing it! :) We're working on getting him to eat different foods, although it's been somewhat of a challenge because he's quite the picky eater. I need to be more creative with how I serve certain foods (especially veggies) and I really need to be more persistent and continue to give him the things that he rejected the first few times. It just gets a bit frustrating sometimes. For those of you who know me, you know that I'm definitely not the most creative person! If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them that's for sure! :)
Well, we are getting to know some amazing believers here. We absolutely love our church and have really started forming some neat relationships. God has been so good! We really are looking forward to what God has in store for us here. To those of you living away from us, know that you each are thought of often and missed very much. Please call or email and let us know how you are doing..jpg)

He is risen, He is risen indeed! and Happy 1st b-day Adam!
We pray that each one of you had a blessed day dwelling on and giving praise to the Father for the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus! Ours was a day filled with delight as we have so much to be thankful for! Our Sunday school class and morning worship service were incredible and turned our thoughts heavenward, causing us to marvel at the amazing gift of salvation which has been granted to us through Christ's death and resurrection. Our God is great and greatly to be praised!
Adam's 1st birthday was Saturday, but most of the family was pretty tied up, so we celebrated on Friday night and also Sunday afternoon. My parents came over on Friday night and hung out with Adam and I since Stephen was off playing soccer with some of his friends. They brought him this wonderful little fire truck, which was probably his favorite gift of all and a baby swing so that once the weather gets nicer, I can take him outside and push him. Even though it's still rather chilly here, Stephen set up the swing and we were able to take him out for a few minutes. He LOVED it and was a bit sad when he had to go back inside. I can't wait for this winter weather to be gone! On Sunday afternoon, we were able to go to my parents house and have Easter dinner together with them, my sister and Jeff and Jeff's parents, John and Diane. We had a wonderful time of fellowship together and Adam was able to enjoy his first taste of b-day cake. He would NOT get his hands in it, but when someone was feeding him, he really enjoyed it. I thought that he might smoosh it all around and throw it everywhere, but he was being especially neat. Well, that works for me...less clean up! I cannot believe that he is already 1 year old! My, how the time flies! Plus, to think that in 3 short months, our little sweet pea will be here. Well, here are some pics of Adam enjoying some of his new toys. We miss each one of you living far away from us and will try to be better at communicating. Love you all!

I figured I should probably clarify that although it may look as though he is reaching for a piece of hard candy or a jelly bean, it's actually a gummy pineapple, which we gave him to try on his b-day. Once he tasted that, he would have nothing more to do with the Cheerios. He definitely has a sweet tooth like his mommy! :)

Adam Sledding!
On another note, Stephen has been enjoying his new job a lot. He gets to help all kinds of kids get a second chance at the Pittsburgh Job Corps. His official title is "Career Preparation Specialist". He teaches about 7 classes per week and shuffles a lot of paperwork. It has been a wonderful blessing from the Lord at just the right time!
Well here is the sledding video...enjoy!

A little update and a plea for prayer...
First of all, some of our friends are going through an extreme trial in their lives right now and I would like to ask those of you who may read this to pray really hard for them. Go here to read a bit more about the situation. I don't know what more I can say except that we are praying for you Amy, Allen and baby Simon.
Well, we have arrived in PA and are getting settled in very nicely. I can't believe we've already been here for over 1 week! We've been busy taking care of all the things that go along with a move and an out-of-state one at that. So far, things are wonderful and we are thankful to the Lord for how He has provided overwhelmingly and more abundantly than we could have imagined. I have been meaning to send out an update and decided I'd just better go ahead and not postpone it any longer. Stephen has begun his new job and is really enjoying it. I am loving being a stay-at-home mom and Adam really seems to be enjoying living in this new place. He will be turning 1 year old on the 22nd, so we are getting excited about that! He has changed so much and has learned so many things during this first year. He has really been practicing standing without support these days. I know he will be running around very, very soon which is a little bit overwhelming! Anyway, here are a few pics:

Our little concert pianist! :) He was having so much fun...
This particular day was really nice (high 60's) so alot of the snow had melted. If we had taken him out the day before, there definitely would've been alot to sled in. It didn't matter though...he had a blast. There will be videos to follow...
