Apples!!

This past weekend, we headed to Carter's Mountain with our friends Taylor and Danny and their 2 boys, Parker and Mason. We had a blast apple picking and enjoying each other's company, as well as the gorgeous weather! My friend Taylor took these wonderful pics but I realized today that we didn't get any pictures of her! I'm sorry Taylor! I promise we'll get a bunch of pics of you next time. :)

Adam had such fun trying his first apple. He just wanted to keep licking it...I felt bad that he couldn't enjoy a bite of such a yummy, crisp apple, but his time will come. :)

This is definitely one of my favorite pics! I just LOVE that gummy grin!!
Daddy standing in line with Adam for his first hayride...
Mason and Adam laughing at each other...so cute!

Myrtle Beach!!

Hey all! Sorry for making all 2 of you wait so long for these pics! :) Again, time just seems to slip away from us and before we know it, another month goes by. We had a full, but good month of September. God has blessed us exceedingly abundantly! Way beyond what we could've asked for! As most of you know, I (Sarah) have been working full time as a legal secretary and Stephen has been staying home with Adam during the day. The pay isn't much for a family of three, but God has provided a few flexible job opportunities for Stephen on the side so that we have a bit of extra income coming in. It's been a tremendous blessing as he is able to work either in the evenings or from home. We have also had a dear friend, Aksa (and her husband Joshua too :) watch Adam sometimes so that Stephen can do some work during the day. They have been wonderful! Even though things are going so incredibly well, I find myself having a hard time with contentment, as my desire is truly to be at home with Adam. If you think about it, please pray that I would continue to trust in God's sovereignty and that he has the very best thing in mind for us and has placed us in this situation at this time for a reason.

On another note, Adam is doing extremely well! He is now 6 months old and is becoming more aware and animated every day. It's amazing to me how much he has changed since birth. He is rolling over all the time and I know it won't be long before he figures out how to start crawling around. He is able to sit for a short period of time with very little assistance and just keeps growing stronger. He loves to laugh and smile and is truly a content, happy baby. At his last doctor's appointment, he weighed in at 15 lbs., 4 oz. He's actually only in the 10-25% for weight, but in the 75th% for height. We have given him rice and oatmeal cereal and some vegetables, however, he is quite the picky eater! He eats the cereal just fine, but when it comes to vegetables, he become quite irritated and it all comes spewing out! I'm not sure what to do to get him to eat the veggies...he truly seems to hate them and fusses and fusses and turns his head away anytime I try to give them to him. I am open to suggestions! All in all, he is a wonderful, sweet baby and we are so thankful to the Lord for blessing us with such a beautiful little boy!

Enjoy the pics!
