Life is wonderful!

Things have been a bit crazy around here these last few weeks, and I simply haven't had much time to sit down at the computer, but I promise I will try and be better. Life with baby Grace is absolutely wonderful! She has turned out to be a champion at nursing and has started sleeping much better. She wakes up every 3-4 hours at night to nurse, but then has settled right back down. During our first week, it was really rough! It's easy to forget how those first few weeks can be with a newborn. We were so used to Adam going to bed at 7:30 and waking up at 7, so it's been a real adjustment. Overall, she is a really good baby and God has filled our lives with even more joy now that He has brought Grace into this world. Our church family has been wonderful and are bringing us meals for the entire month of July, which makes for one less thing to have to think about.

Last week, Stephen's sister Kelly was in town and she took a few incredible pics for us. Most of them are of Adam, but there are a few of Grace as well. Kelly is an amazing photographer...check out her website under our family link list. Thanks so much Kelly!

Grace!!!!

We are happy to announce the birth of Grace Elizabeth Kline! She was born on Monday at about 2:00 in the afternoon. She weighed 8lbs. 12oz. and is 21.5 inches long. Sarah and Grace were doing so well, they let us come home from the hospital a day early! We just want to praise the Lord for such a wonderful gift! Thank you for your prayers. Sorry this is a short post. I am sure Sarah will post more in the next few days. Enjoy the photos!

Still here...

So I know you all must be wondering WHAT in the world is going on with us? I'm sorry that I haven't posted in awhile, especially considering the fact that our little Grace is due on Saturday. Oh yes, we have finally agreed on a name...Grace Elizabeth. Truth be told, there isn't actually a whole lot to say. We actually had a false alarm about 2 weeks ago. If any of you have been there, you know how frustrating that can be. At least when we got to the hospital, I really WAS having contractions, just not real labor ones. So, they kept us there for about 5 - 6 hours, just to see what would happen. Unfortunately, it turned out to be false labor, but my doctor even acknowledged that I was definitely having some strong contractions, which made me a bit less embarrassed. :) I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions for about 2 1/2 weeks now and am dilated to 3 cm, but still nothing is really happening. I know that she will come when she is ready, but I'm just dying to meet her!! :) My doctor won't induce me until at least 41 weeks, which I'm actually really glad about since I was really hoping to just go into labor naturally...I just hope it happens! In the meantime, I'm just trying to enjoy my time with Stephen and Adam before our life becomes a whirlwind! I promise we'll keep you posted...as it stands right now, she could arrive at any time which is SUPER exciting! Sorry no pictures at the moment...we've taken some fun videos of Adam, which we'll try to post soon. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for us!

Here are a few recent videos that we thought were kind of cute. We have a bunny that loves to hang out in our back yard and Adam gets pretty excited when she's out there...



At least once a week these days, we love to go walking at the park with my parents. Adam LOVES being outside and in his stroller (as long as it's moving :) and he especially loves the swings. As you can see, he's getting a bit more daring! :)

Weekend Getaway!

This past weekend, Stephen and I had the chance to get away...just the two of us! Stephen was asked to be in his good friend Scot's wedding in KY, so we figured it would be the perfect opportunity for us to spend a little time together before the baby comes. My parents and sister were able to watch Adam for us, which was such a blessing! It was the first time that I had actually left Adam for a whole night, so it was really strange not having him with us. I really missed him, but it was sooo nice being able to go and do as we pleased without having to think about all the things that come with bringing a baby along. The wedding was so nice and I really enjoyed getting to meet some wonderful people.

On our way to KY, we stopped for lunch in Columbus, OH at this really amazing German restaurant, Schmidt's in this little German Village. Let me tell you, the atmosphere and food were amazing! I'm really a big fan of German food, but it is really, really heavy! We were both sooo stuffed when we left.

This was a really sweet couple, Nicole and Keith (and Samuel :) who we were able to spend some time with during the weekend.

On Saturday evening after the wedding, we were able to have a date night. We went to downtown Cincinatti and went to the observation deck on top of one of the tallest buildings. The view was incredible!

My grandmother, aunt and uncle and one of my cousins and her family live in the Cincinatti area, so on Sunday on our way back home, we were able to visit with them for a little while, which was so nice, since it's been a few years since we've made it out that way. Here is my grandmother, my cousin Karen and her little boy Cole, who is only a few weeks younger than Adam.

Well, here is a short video and some pictures we hope you will enjoy. Adam has been so much fun outside. He was afraid of the grass at first...I think it was a bit too prickely. Now he has been having lots of fun walking around. Enjoy!

It's been WAY too long, I know...

How does the time go by so fast? I can't believe it's almost been a whole month since our last post. Yikes! So, so sorry about that! The truth is, I have just been horrible about communicating with anyone these last few months. Don't ask me why, since now I have more time than I ever did before. I really do promise I will try and do better. I figured if I didn't post something soon, Liz would take me off her blog list which would make me so sad...not that I wouldn't deserve it, but she just leaves such great comments and I would miss them so much. :)

Of course, I'm going to start with Adam. He is certainly most of what my life revolves around these days and I love every (yes, every :) minute of it. His most recent breakthrough is walking! As I mentioned in our last post, he's been taking steps for awhile now, but was still crawling when he really wanted to get somewhere. Well, last Saturday he decided that it was time to really give walking a chance. I will be posting some video here pretty soon, but for now I will just post some pics of him on his feet. He is now walking everywhere! It's kind of crazy and I know things will get a bit more interesting from this point on, but I'm kind of glad, because it will hopefully help mommy when our little girl arrives (sorry, we still haven't settled on a name - we're definitely open to suggestions!). It amazes me how parents of multiples do it. And when I think about that, it also causes me to think about single parents and military moms. It really makes me appreciate what they do for their children and it makes me 100 times more thankful for my husband who is absolutely WONDERFUL, by the way! Ok anyway...I'm getting off on a tangent, sorry. But seriously, I just appreciate all that my husband does to help me on a daily basis without ever complaining and with such a great attitude. I love him so much!

Ok, moving on...as I stated above, we have yet to choose a name for our little sweet pea, but I assure you, as soon as we have one nailed down, we will let you all know! So, stay tuned! :) This pregnancy has been absolutely wonderful! I feel so great and it's actually been going by really fast. I can't believe that we are nearing the end. God has been so good! When I look around and see what other couples are going through right now, I realize that it's so easy for me to say that. I have been so encouraged by so many of you, many who I don't even know personally, especially when I see your unwavering faith in our great God in the midst of such heartache and turmoil.

Well, I guess I'd just better post some pics now, or I could probably go on and on about various things and bore you all to tears. :) Again, sorry that it's taken so long to post this! I'll really try and be better.

One of his favorite things is when we ask him "How big is Adam?" This is always his response. He gets so excited.
